Abstract
【解決手段】複数の電池セル10を直列及び/又は並列に接続した電池パックであって、角形の外装缶に各々収納された複数の電池セル10と、電池セル10の電極端子12を除き、外装缶の外周を被覆する絶縁性及び断熱性を有する複数のセパレータ20とを備え、各セパレータ20は、その両面に電池セル10の外装缶を接触させるよう、電池セル10同士の間に介在され、セパレータ20で電池セル10の外装缶を被覆した状態で電極端子12を露出させ、この部分を連結している。これにより、電池セル10の外周を必要部位を残して被覆でき、意図せぬ短絡等を効果的に阻止できる。

Claims (14)
- 複数の電池セルを直列及び/又は並列に接続した電池パックであって、
角形の外装缶に各々収納された複数の電池セルと、
電池セルの電極端子を除き、外装缶の外周を被覆する絶縁性及び断熱性を有する複数のセパレータと、
を備え、
各セパレータは、その両面に電池セルの外装缶を接触させるよう、電池セル同士の間に介在され、
前記セパレータで電池セルの外装缶を被覆した状態で電極端子を露出させ、この部分を連結してなることを特徴とする電池パック。 - 請求項1に記載の電池パックであって、
前記セパレータが、隣接するセパレータと嵌合するための嵌合構造を備え、
前記嵌合構造によりセパレータ同士を嵌合することで、電池セルの収納空間が形成されるよう構成されてなることを特徴とする電池パック。 - 請求項2に記載の電池パックであって、
前記セパレータは、一方を開口した略断面コ字状の有底箱形に形成されてなり、開口部は電池セルを収納できる大きさ及び形状に設計され、
さらにセパレータ同士を前記嵌合構造で連結する際、開口部を他方の箱形の開口部底面を構成する底面板で閉塞する姿勢にて連結するよう構成してなることを特徴とする電池パック。 - 請求項3に記載の電池パックであって、
前記セパレータは、前記嵌合構造として、
前記開口部の開口端縁に嵌合突起を形成すると共に、
開口部底面の外部側で、前記嵌合突起と対応する位置に嵌合突起と嵌合する嵌合溝を形成してなることを特徴とする電池パック。 - 請求項4に記載の電池パックであって、
前記嵌合突起は、開口端縁の四隅、又は対角となる二隅に少なくとも形成されてなることを特徴とする電池パック。 - 請求項1から5のいずれか一に記載の電池パックであって、
前記セパレータの開口部底面であって、収納される電池セルの外装缶と接する面に、一定間隔で複数の凹状段差部を略平行に形成してなり、延長された凹状段差部の端部は前記セパレータの側面で開口されてなることを特徴とする電池パック。 - 請求項6に記載の電池パックであって、
前記セパレータの開口部底面を構成する底面板を、断面が連続した凹凸状となるように折曲させて、底面板の両面に凹状段差部を形成してなることを特徴とする電池パック。 - 請求項6又は7に記載の電池パックであって、
前記凹状段差部の方向が、電池セルの電極端子を設けた天面と平行に設けられていることを特徴とする電池パック。 - 請求項6又は7に記載の電池パックであって、
前記凹状段差部の方向が、電池セルの電極端子を設けた天面と垂直に設けられていることを特徴とする電池パック。 - 請求項1から9のいずれか一に記載の電池パックであって、
前記セパレータは、収納する電池セルに設けられた安全弁の位置に、安全弁開口部を形成してなることを特徴とする電池パック。 - 請求項1から10のいずれか一に記載の電池パックであって、
前記セパレータが、樹脂製の部材で構成されてなることを特徴とする電池パック。 - 請求項1から11のいずれか一に記載の電池パックであって、
前記セパレータが、電池セルの電極端子の周囲に電解液吸収シートを配置してなることを特徴とする電池パック。 - 請求項1から12のいずれか一に記載の電池パックであって、
前記セパレータが、電池セルの電極端子の周囲を囲む位置に端子壁を形成してなることを特徴とする電池パック。 - 請求項13に記載の電池パックであって、
前記端子壁の一部を開口し、かつ前記セパレータの側面まで延長されたドレイン壁を形成してなることを特徴とする電池パック。
