Abstract
Description
種々のイソシアネートをポリオールとブレンドすることによって製造したプレポリマーの粘度を、図1に示す。この粘度は、コーン/プレート配置で1000ミクロンの隙間を使用して、AR−2000レオメーターで測定したときの、センチポアズ/秒(cps)で示す。プレポリマーは、表Iに示すような材料重量比を使用して、32オンスのガラスボトル(800g)内で製造する。
ポリウレタンプレポリマーを、768gのポリオール1,48gのポリオール3,24gのポリオール2及び48gのネオペンチルグリコールのポリオール混合物を調製することによって製造する。この混合物を80℃に加熱し、そして1時間混合する。この混合物を、312gの1,3/1,4ビス(イソシアナトメチル)シクロヘキサン溶液に添加し、得られる混合物を90℃で9時間加熱する。最終生成物は、4.8重量%のNCOを有する。製造したこのプレポリマーを、高剪断連続プロセス中に分散させて、ポリウレタン水性分散液を形成する。このプロセスに於いて、100gのプレポリマーを高剪断ミキサー装置の中に導入し、そこで、これを、3.02g(固体)のドデシルベンゼンスルホン酸ナトリウムの水溶液とブレンドする。次いで、生成したプレエマルジョンを、二次ミキサーの中に導入し、そこで、これを、24gの脱イオン水及び38gの水中の6.85gのADA溶液とブレンドする。この分散液には、56.5重量%の固体含有量、320nmの体積平均粒子サイズ及び1000cpsよりも低い粘度が含まれる。
ポリウレタン分散液を、実施例1の手順に従って製造したプレポリマーを連鎖延長することによって製造する。プレポリマーの別の200gサンプルを、2.75インチのカウルス(Cowles)ブレードを取り付けた32オンスのガラスボトル内に入れる。ブレードを、ブレードが液体プレポリマーによってちょうど覆われるように配置する。このプレポリマーに、ラウリル硫酸ナトリウムの界面活性剤水溶液(29.5%活性)21.3gを添加する。45%固体分散液を作るために、237gの水を滴下により添加して、水中油滴型分散液を作る。転相点に達したとき、連鎖延長剤(ADA)をプレポリマーに導入する(水中10重量%溶液)。この分散液を濾過し、3日間放置し、その後フィルムを流延した。分散液の製造で使用した材料の重量比を、表IIに示す。
本発明のイソシアネートを使用する分散液の性能への、異なった連鎖延長剤の影響を評価するために、実施例1の手順を使用して、表IVに示す重量比に基づくプレポリマーを製造した。
ポリオール4(PTMG、1000グラム)及びジメチロールプロピオン酸(DMPA、134g)を、温度計、機械式攪拌機、加熱ジャケット及び乾燥窒素入口を装着した反応ケトル内に入れる。このポリオール及びDMPA混合物を約130℃に加熱し、この温度で、DMPAが完全に溶解し、溶液が透明になるまで保持する。N−メチルピロリドン(NMP)(5%溶媒を得るため)及びT12触媒(固形物基準で0.25重量%)を、その温度が50℃まで低下した後に、この混合物に添加する。次いで、化学量論的過剰のイソシアネート1を、反応ケトルに添加して、1.8の計算したNCO:OH比を得る。次いで、反応温度を85℃まで徐々に上昇させ、この温度で、ジ−n−ブチルアミン滴定によって決定したNCOの%が、その理論値に達するまで保持する。測定したNCOの%間の差が、理論的予想値の10%内であるとき、反応温度を50℃まで低下させる。生成したイソシアネート末端プレポリマーに、101gのトリエチルアミン(TEA)を添加して、NCO末端プレポリマーの付属COOH基を中和する。中和プロセスが完結した後(30分)、水を、反応ケトルの中に激しく攪拌しながら添加して、付属内部塩基含有NCO末端プレポリマーの分散を達成する。エチレンジアミンと水との混合物(1.0/1.0重量比)を添加することによって、連鎖延長を実施する。エチレンジアミンの添加は、残留する遊離のNCO基の全てを完全に反応させるために十分である。この分散液に数滴の脱泡剤を添加し、穏和に攪拌しながら数分間混合し、濾過し、そしてガラスジャー内に貯蔵する。
ポリウレタン分散液から製造したエラストマーの特性への1,3−異性体及び1,4−異性体比の影響を評価するために、1,3−異性体対1,4−異性体濃度の種々の比で、エラストマーを製造する。このプレポリマーを、水又はイソシアネート1の類似アミンで連鎖延長する。水による連鎖延長のために、プレポリマーを、3重量%のLDS−22を含有する水中に分散させる。最終ポリウレタン分散液は、約50重量%の固形含有量を有する。イソシアネート1の類似アミンによる連鎖延長のために、プレポリマーを、3重量%のLDS−22を含有する水中に、50%固形物レベルにまで分散させ、次いでイソシアネート1の類似アミンを、NCO%基準で50%化学量論的量で添加する。
Claims (15)
- ポリイソシアネート及び水素活性部分を有する分子、並びに任意的な連鎖延長剤及び/又は界面活性剤の混合物、を含んでなり、ポリイソシアネートがビス(イソシアナトメチル)シクロヘキサン化合物を含むポリウレタン分散液。
- ポリイソシアネートが(i)トランス−1,4−ビス(イソシアナトメチル)シクロヘキサン又は(ii)シス−1,3−ビス(イソシアナトメチル)シクロヘキサン、トランス−1,3−ビス(イソシアナトメチル)シクロヘキサン、シス−1,4−ビス(イソシアナトメチル)シクロヘキサン及びトランス−1,4−ビス(イソシアナトメチル)シクロヘキサンの2種若しくはそれ以上の異性体混合物を含んでなるが、前記異性体混合物が少なくとも約5重量%の前記トランス−1,4−ビス(イソシアナトメチル)シクロヘキサンを含む請求項1に記載の分散液。
- 前記ポリウレタンが水性媒体中に分散されている請求項2に記載の分散液。
- 前記水性媒体が5%よりも少ない残留有機溶媒を含む請求項3に記載の分散液。
- 前記水素活性部分を有する分子が300〜10,000の重量平均分子量及び1.8〜4.5の平均官能基を有するポリオール又はポリオールブレンドである請求項1に記載の分散液。
- 前記ポリオールがポリエステル、ポリエーテル、ポリラクトン、ポリオレフィン、ポリカーボネート又はこれらのブレンドから選択された脂肪族又は芳香族ポリオールである請求項5に記載の分散液。
- 前記分散液がポリマー連鎖延長剤を含む請求項1に記載の分散液。
- 前記連鎖延長剤がピペラジン、エチレンジアミン又はビス(アミノメチル)シクロヘキサンから選択される請求項7に記載の分散液。
- 前記分散液が30〜75重量%の固形分を含む請求項1に記載の分散液。
- 前記分散液がアニオン性、イオン性、カチオン性又は双性イオン性外部界面活性剤を含む請求項1に記載の分散液。
- 前記分散液が内部界面活性剤によって安定化されている請求項1に記載の分散液。
- 前記ポリイソシアネート及び水素活性部分を有する分子、並びに任意的な連鎖延長剤及び/又は界面活性剤の混合物、を含んでなり、前記ポリイソシアネートがビス(イソシアナトメチル)シクロヘキサン化合物を含むポリウレタン分散液の製造方法。
- 請求項1に記載の分散液から製造された被覆、フィルム、エラストマー又は微孔質発泡体。
- 請求項1に記載の分散液から製造された紫外線又は光安定性被覆、フィルム又はエラストマー。
- ポリイソシアネートが0.1〜20重量%の、ビス(イソシアナトメチル)シクロヘキサン以外の少なくとも1種のポリイソシアネートを含む請求項2に記載の分散液。
