Claims (43)
- 椎骨内整復システムにおいて、
椎骨内空間内に骨組織に接した状態で互いに隣接して配置可能な複数の整復要素を備えており、前記複数の整復要素は、前記椎骨内空間に順に配置されると互いに作用し合い、それによって海綿骨組織を圧迫して外向きの矯正力を前記椎骨内空間内に働かせ椎体を復旧するシステム。 - 前記複数の整復要素は互いに連結されている、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数の整復要素は、前記複数の整復要素を貫いて伸張する接続要素によって連結されている、請求項2に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数の整復要素は、前記複数の整復要素の隣接する要素の間に伸張する接続要素によって連結されている、請求項2に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数の整復要素は、それぞれ球形状を有している、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数の整復要素は、PMMA、分解吸収性ポリマー、及び水酸化カルシウムから成る群より選択ざれた材料で構成されている、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数の整復要素の少なくとも一部は、隣接する整復要素間の係合を容易にする外表面造作を有している、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記外表面造作は平面を含んでいる、請求項7に記載のシステム。
- 前記外表面造作は窪みを含んでいる、請求項7に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数の整復要素の前記椎骨内空間内における術後維持及び安定化のための、前記椎骨内空間の前記複数の整復要素の周り及びその前記窪みに配置可能な材料を更に備えている、請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 前記外表面造作は、前記整復要素を貫通して伸張する空洞を含んでいる、請求項7に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数の整復要素の前記椎骨内空間内における術後維持及び安定化のために、前記椎骨内空間の前記複数の整復要素の周りに配置可能な材料を更に備えている、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記材料は、PMMA及び分解吸収性骨セメントから成る群より選択される、請求項12に記載のシステム。
- 前記椎骨内空間に隣接して配置可能な送出部材を更に備えており、前記送出部材は、前記複数の整復要素を前記椎骨内空間に送出するための通路を含んでいる、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 椎骨内整復システムにおいて、
椎骨内空間に配置可能な少なくとも1つの細長い整復要素を備えており、前記少なくとも1つの細長い整復要素は、直線状の挿入形態を有しており、前記挿入形態に対して横方向に変形可能であって、前記椎骨内空間内で変形すると、前記椎骨内空間内の容積分を実質的に埋めて椎体内の海綿骨組織を圧迫し、前記椎体に外向きの矯正力をかける、システム。 - 前記少なくとも1つの細長い整復要素は、前記椎骨内空間内でアコーディオン様形状に折り重なることにより変形する、請求項15に記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つの細長い整復要素は、前記椎骨内空間内で螺旋状に巻くことにより変形する、請求項15に記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つの細長い整復要素は、形状記憶合金材料(SMA)で構成されている、請求項15に記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つの細長い整復要素は、半剛体のエラストマー及びばね金属から成る群より選択された材料から形成される、請求項15に記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つの細長い整復要素は、前記直線状の挿入形態では互いに沿って伸張する一対の整復要素で構成され、前記一対の整復要素は前記椎骨内空間に挿入されると互いから離れる方向に変形する、請求項15に記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つの整復要素の前記椎骨内空間内での術後維持と安定化を図るために、前記閉鎖された容積内で前記少なくとも1つの整復要素の周りに配置可能な材料を更に含んでいる、請求項15に記載のシステム。
- 前記材料は、PMMA及び分解吸収性骨セメントから成る群より選択される、請求項21に記載のシステム。
- 前記椎骨内空間に隣接して配置可能であり、前記少なくとも1つの整復要素を前記椎骨内空間へ送り込むための通路を含んでいる送出部材を更に備えている、請求項15に記載のシステム。
- 前記送出部材は、前記少なくとも1つの整復要素を前記直線状の挿入形態に制限し、前記少なくとも1つの整復要素は、前記送出部材の遠位端を出ると変形可能である、請求項23に記載のシステム。
- 椎骨を整復するための方法において、
前記椎骨の椎骨内空間にアクセスする段階と、
複数の整復要素を、前記椎骨内空間内に、前記椎骨の骨組織に接触する状態で順に配置し、前記椎骨に外向きの矯正力を作用させる段階と、を備える方法。 - 前記椎骨内空間内の前記整復要素の周りに材料を配置する段階と、
前記複数の整復要素を前記椎骨内空間内で安定させるために、前記材料を硬化させる段階と、を更に含んでいる、請求項25に記載の方法。 - 前記複数の整復要素を前記椎骨内空間から取り出す段階と、
前記椎骨内空間内に材料を入れて、前記整復された椎骨を安定させる段階と、を更に含んでいる、請求項25に記載の方法。 - 前記椎骨に隣接して送出部材を配置する段階と、
前記送出部材の通路を通して、前記複数の整復要素を前記椎骨内空間へ送り込む段階と、を更に含んでいる、請求項25に記載の方法。 - 前記送出部材を通して、前記椎骨内空間内の前記複数の整復要素の周りに、材料を配置する段階を更に含んでいる、請求項28に記載の方法。
- 椎骨を整復するための方法において、
前記椎骨の椎骨内空間にアクセスする段階と、
少なくとも1つの整復要素を、前記椎骨内空間内に、前記椎骨の骨組織に接触する状態で配置する段階と、
前記少なくとも1つの整復要素で前記骨組織を緻密化すると同時に、前記椎骨内空間内に非加圧非流体環境で前記少なくとも1つの整復要素による前記骨組織の緻密化により作り出された容積分を埋めて、前記椎骨に対して外向きの矯正力を作用させる段階と、を含んでいる方法。 - 前記少なくとも1つの整復要素を配置する前記段階は、複数の整復要素を順に前記椎骨内空間に配置する段階を含んでいる、請求項30に記載の方法。
- 材料を、前記椎骨内空間内の前記複数の整復要素の周りに配置する段階と、
前記材料を硬化させて、前記複数の整復要素を前記椎骨内空間内で安定させる段階と、を更に含んでいる、請求項31に記載の方法。 - 前記複数の整復要素を前記椎骨内空間から取り出す段階と、

- 前記少なくとも1つの整復要素は、直線状形態で互いに隣接して配置された一対の整復要素を含んでおり、前記少なくとも1つの整復要素を変形させる前記段階は、前記一対の整復要素を互いから遠ざかる方向に螺旋状に巻く段階を含んでいる、請求項40に記載の方法。
- 前記椎骨内空間内の前記螺旋状に巻かれた一対の整復要素の周りに材料を配置する段階を更に含んでいる、請求項41に記載の方法。
- 前記一対の整復要素を前記椎骨内空間に送り込むために送出部材の通路内に前記一対の整復部材を前記直線状挿入形態に制限する段階と、前記一対の整復要素を前記送出部材の遠位側に変形させる段階と、を更に含んでいる、請求項41に記載のシステム。
