Abstract
Description
本発明の技術分野は、インプラント可能な脈管閉塞装置に関し、特に、耐伸張性脈管閉塞コイルに関する。
脈管閉塞装置は、血管を流れる血流や、エンボラス(enbolus)の形態でその血管から派生している動脈瘤を流れる血流を遮るために、典型的にはカテーテルを介して人体の脈管内に配置される外科的な器具あるいはインプラントである。広く使用されている脈管閉塞装置の一つは、動脈瘤の壁に合った大きさの巻線を有する螺旋状ワイヤコイルである。実際には、このような脈管閉塞インプラントはすべてワイヤで誘導されるカテーテルを介して装置を押し出すことによって送出される。
本発明は、患者の脈管構造内で展開して、その血流を閉塞することができる脈管閉塞装置に関する。この脈管閉塞装置は、閉塞部位に合致する様々な二次形状のどれかに展開することができる主コイルを具える。この脈管閉塞装置は送出装置を用いて目的部位に運ばれ、電解ジョイントなどの様々な切離し手段のいずれか一つを用いてそこから切り離される。また、この脈管閉塞装置は主コイル内に配設された内腔の少なくとも一部に延在する伸張防止部材を含む。伸張防止部材は、直接的あるいは間接的に主コイルに接続されて、主コイルの軸方向における伸張を防止するかあるいは最小限に抑える。この配設位置の一箇所で、伸張防止部材は主コイル内腔に配置されたアンカアッセンブリを介して主コイルに接続されている。非限定的な例として、このアンカアッセンブリは主コイルの近位端に配置され、伸張防止部材は主コイルの遠位端あるいは主コイルのその他の位置と近位側に配置されたアンカアッセンブリとの間に直接的あるいは間接的に固定されうる。
図1を参照すると、一の好ましい実施例に従って構成された脈管閉塞アッセンブリ100が示されている。
脈管閉塞アッセンブリ100は、細長い筒状カテーテル117内に配置されたコアワイヤ114を具える送出装置と、このコアワイヤ114の端部に形成された切離し可能な手段112を用いて送出装置116の遠位端に切離し可能に取り付けられた脈管閉塞装置101とを具える。図面に示されている実施例では、以下により詳細に述べるように、切離し可能な手段112は電解的に分離可能なジョイントである。機械的なものなど、他のタイプの切離し可能な手段を使用して、脈管閉塞アッセンブリ100を様々な他の送出装置に接続することができる。したがって、当然のことながら、脈管閉塞装置101は、コアワイヤを用いる送出装置以外の送出装置に連結させることもできる。
Claims (10)
- 各々が近位端と、遠位端と、内腔を有する複数の主コイルと;
各々が前記各主コイル内腔の少なくとも一部に延在している複数の伸張防止部材と;
隣接する主コイル間に配置された一又はそれ以上の分離可能なジョイントと;
を具えることを特徴とする脈管閉塞装置。 - 請求項1に記載の装置が、更に、前記各主コイルの近位および遠位端の一方に取り付けた第1の複数のアンカアッセンブリを具え、前記伸張防止部材の第1の端部が前記各々の主コイルに前記第1の複数のアンカアッセンブリを介して連結されていることを特徴とする脈管閉塞装置。
- 請求項2に記載の装置が、更に、前記各主コイルの近位及び遠位端の他方に取り付けた第2の複数のアンカアッセンブリを具え、前記伸張防止部材の第2の端部が前記各々の主コイルに前記第2の複数のアンカアッセンブリを介して連結されていることを特徴とする脈管閉塞装置。
- 請求項3に記載の装置において、前記第1及び第2の複数のアンカアッセンブリの一方あるいは双方が、前記主コイルおよび伸張防止部材の各々に固定的に連結された一又はそれ以上の可撓性ジョイントを具えることを特徴とする脈管閉塞装置。
- 請求項3に記載の装置において、前記第1及び第2の複数のアンカアッセンブリの一方あるいは双方が、アンカコイルと、前記アンカコイルおよび伸張防止部材の各々の間に固定的に連結されたリンクとを具えることを特徴とする脈管閉塞装置。
- 請求項3に記載の装置において、前記第1及び第2の複数のアンカアッセンブリの一方あるいは双方が、前記主コイルの各々に固定的に連結された一の近位側ねじれリンクと、前記伸張防止部材の各々に固定的に連結された一の遠位側リンクとを少なくとも有するアンカ鎖を具えることを特徴とする脈管閉塞装置。
- 請求項6に記載の装置において、前記遠位側リンクがねじれていることを特徴とする脈管閉塞装置。
- 請求項3に記載の装置において、前記第1及び第2の複数のアンカアッセンブリの一方あるいは双方が、前記各々の主コイルの巻線間に配置された巻線を有するアンカコイルを具えることを特徴とする脈管閉塞装置。
- 請求項8に記載の装置において、前記アンカコイルの各巻線が、前記各々の主コイルの隣接する巻線間に配置されていることを特徴とする脈管閉塞装置。
- 請求項8に記載の装置において、前記アンカコイルの少なくとも二つの巻線が、前記各々の主コイルの隣接する巻線間に配置されていることを特徴とする脈管閉塞装置。
