Abstract
【解決手段】液滴吐出ヘッド52は、図中X方向(主走査方向)に往復して、その間に機能液である保護膜材料の液滴をカラーフィルタ基板10a上へノズル54の配列幅Hで吐出する。カラーフィルタ基板10a上には、保護膜材料の液滴が副走査方向(Y方向)に140μmの間隔で塗布されている。また、主走査方向(X方向)においては、保護膜材料の液滴が10μm間隔で塗布される。一回の走査で保護膜材料を塗布したら、カラーフィルタ基板10aがノズル54の配列幅Hだけ移動して、液滴吐出ヘッド52は次の領域へ保護膜材料を吐出する。

Description
本発明に係る電気光学パネルが適用できる電子機器としては、携帯電話機の他に、例えば、PDA(Personal Digital Assistants)と呼ばれる携帯型情報機器や携帯型パーソナルコンピュータ、パーソナルコンピュータ、デジタルスチルカメラ、車載用モニタ、デジタルビデオカメラ、液晶テレビ、ビューファインダ型、モニタ直視型のビデオテープレコーダ、カーナビゲーション装置、ページャ、電子手帳、電卓、ワードプロセッサ、ワークステーション、テレビ電話機、POS端末機等、電気光学装置である電気光学パネルを用いる機器が挙げられる。したがって、これらの電子機器における電気的接続構造であっても、本発明が適用可能であることはいうまでもない。
Claims (11)
- 基材に機能膜を形成するにあたり、
ノズルが一方向に配列された液滴吐出手段により機能液を吐出させて機能膜を形成する際に、前記ノズルの配列方向における前記機能液の液滴の間隔は、前記ノズルの配列方向に対して垂直な方向における前記機能液の液滴の間隔より大きいことを特徴とする電気光学パネルの製造方法。 - 前記機能液はカラーフィルタの保護膜材料であり、前記機能膜はカラーフィルタの保護膜であって、
基材にカラーフィルタを形成するフィルタ形成工程と、
ノズルが一方向に配列された液滴吐出手段により前記カラーフィルタ上へ保護膜材料の液滴を塗布する保護膜材料塗布工程と、
前記保護膜材料を乾燥させる乾燥工程とを含み、
前記ノズルの配列方向における上記液滴の間隔は、前記ノズルの配列方向に対して垂直な方向における上記液滴の間隔より大きいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電気光学パネルの製造方法。 - 前記フィルタ形成工程の後に、前記カラーフィルタ表面を改質し、前記カラーフィルタ表面の濡れ性を向上させる表面改質工程を含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の電気光学パネルの製造方法。
- 上記カラーフィルタが形成された前記基材の全面に上記保護膜材料を塗布することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の電気光学パネルの製造方法。
- 上記カラーフィルタが形成された前記基材のうち、チップ上のみに上記保護膜材料を塗布することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の電気光学パネルの製造方法。
- 上記カラーフィルタ上に吐出する上記保護膜材料の液滴間隔、又は液滴の質量のうち少なくとも一方を変化させることにより、前記カラーフィルタの膜厚を制御することを特徴とする請求項3〜5のいずれか1項に記載の電気光学パネルの製造方法。
- 基材にカラーフィルタを形成するフィルタ形成工程と、
当該カラーフィルタ表面を改質する表面改質工程と、
ノズルが一方向に向かって配列された液滴吐出手段により前記カラーフィルタ上へ樹脂と溶媒とを含む保護膜材料の液滴を塗布する保護膜塗布工程と、
前記溶媒を乾燥させて前記カラーフィルタの保護膜を形成する保護膜形成工程と、
保護膜形成後の前記基材に所定の部材又は部品を取り付けて電気光学パネルを製造する工程と、
前記電気光学パネルに実装部品を実装する工程と、を含み、
前記ノズルの配列方向における上記液滴の間隔は、前記ノズルの配列方向に対して垂直な方向における上記液滴の間隔より大きいことを特徴とする電子機器の製造方法。 - 表面改質処理されたカラーフィルタ上に、第1の方向における液滴の間隔と、当該第1の方向に対して垂直な方向における液滴の間隔とを異ならせて、樹脂と溶媒とを含む保護膜材料を塗布してなるカラーフィルタ基板と、
当該カラーフィルタ基板に対向配置される基板と、
対向配置される前記基板の間に保持される液晶と、
を含むことを特徴とする電気光学パネル。 - 表面改質処理されたカラーフィルタ上に、第1の方向における液滴の間隔と、当該第1の方向に対して垂直な方向における液滴の間隔とを異ならせて、樹脂と溶媒とを含む保護膜材料を塗布してなるカラーフィルタ基板と、
マトリックス状に発光素子が形成された発光装置と、を有してなり、
前記発光素子の前面に前記カラーフィルタ基板が配置されてなることを特徴とする電気光学パネル。 - 請求項8又は9に記載の電気光学パネルを備えたことを特徴とする電気光学装置。
- 請求項10に記載の電気光学装置を備えたことを特徴とする電子機器。
