内燃機関の運転状態を検出する運転状態検出手段と、
リッチ空燃比の排気若しくは未燃燃料が含まれている排気が触媒へ流入する運転状態であるか否か判定する手段と、
リッチ空燃比の排気および未燃燃料が含まれている排気が触媒へ流入する運転状態でないと判定されたときに、前記入ガスセンサおよび前記出ガスセンサの検出値に基づいて前記入ガスセンサ若しくは前記出ガスセンサの少なくとも一方の劣化を判定する劣化判定手段と、
