Abstract

(57)【要約】 【課題】 従来のスポーツ用プロテクターにみられた運
動性の悪さや装着時の違和感の大きさ、また、脱着のし
にくさを解消するとともに野球やソフトボールだけでな
く、いろいろなスポーツにも使用できてけが等の防止に
役立つ。 【解決手段】 プロテクターの形をベスト型とした。

【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【従来の技術】従来、スポーツ用プロテクター、特に野
球ソフトボール用のプロテクターは衝撃吸収材が身体前
面、いわゆる胸部腹部にそしてそれを固定するためのベ
ルトが身体側面から身体背面に、めぐらされているだけ
であった。また、衝撃吸収材とベルトをつなぐ止め金具
は身体側面にあった。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】従来のスポーツ用プロ
テクターは、その形体的な問題から身体前面部の方に重
量が偏るためプロテクターを体に固定することが難し
く、特に運動時に衝撃吸収材の部分の移動がみられた。
このことが運動動作を著しく妨げていた。例をあげると
野球やソフトボールの捕手の送球時や捕手や審判のカバ
ーリング時のさいにこのことが顕著にみられた。また、
止め金具が身体側面にあることで、プロテクター脱着も
容易とはいえなかった。

【課題を解決するための手段】上記課題を解決するため
に、プロテクターをベスト型とした。

【発明の効果】プロテクターをベスト型としたことで、
身体前面に重量が偏ることがなくなった。また、身体と
の接触面積が増大した。このことでプロテクターを身体
に完全に固定でき、今までみられていた運動動作を妨げ
ていたプロテクターの移動がなくなった。このように、
プロテクター装着時の運動性が向上したことで、野球や
ソフトボールだけでなく、いままで使用されることのな
かったラグビーやアメリカンフットボール等のいろいろ
なスポーツのけが防止に大きな効果を期待できるまた、
連結テープ部が前面にあるためプロテクターの脱着も容
易となった。
