The present invention relates to a garment for animals and a method of making it.

In the animal clothing sector, whether livestock or domestic, the aesthetic and/or technical aspects of the garment have always been taken into consideration, always focusing on aesthetic needs or on technical improvements that increase the animal's coverage, the ease of use of the garment, or other aspects closely related to the garment itself.

However, the ever-increasing focus on animal health, primarily domestic animals but also farm animals, is pushing the market toward optimizing these garments to improve their health and well-being.

In fact, there are no known systems that can increase animal welfare that are continuously active on them, but there are very complex systems that require, for example, occasional therapies or other treatments.

The purpose of this invention is to provide a garment and a method that solve the problems of the prior art mentioned above.

This aim is fully achieved by the garment and the method which are the objects of the present invention, which is characterised by the contents of the claims reported below.

According to one aspect of this description, the present invention provides a garment for animals comprising a body made of fabric. The term "fabric" refers to any type of material that can be used to make a garment.

The garment comprises a fastening element, movable between a fastened position, in which the garment is attached to the animal, and an unfastened position, in which the garment can be released from the animal.

The garment comprises an additional element. The additional element is bonded to the body of the garment. The additional element comprises a carrier medium. The additional element comprises one or more additive particles. Said one or more additive particles are dispersed within the carrier medium. Said one or more additive particles are configured to interact with (shield, reflect) electromagnetic waves emitted by the animal.

The presence of the additional element, with the dispersion of additive particles, increases the animal's sense of well-being. Specifically, the additive particles are able to interact with (reflect and/or shield) the electromagnetic waves emitted by the animal, which bounce off its body, providing health benefits.

The benefits of this technology, known in jargon as FIR (Far Infrared), have been widely demonstrated in scientific literature.

Said one or more additive particles are selected from one or more of the following materials:

- noble metals;

- trace elements;

- bioceramics.

Just to give an example, bioceramics can be, for example, non-toxic oxides of minerals, such as aluminum, platinum and titanium, to which fibers are usually added in liquid form, so as to subsequently melt them at high temperatures.

The carrier medium is selected from one or more of the following mediums:

- gel, preferably conductive;

- polyamides;

- polyesters.

Preferably, the garment comprises a carrier element, on which the carrier medium is arranged with said one or more additive particles inside. For example, the carrier element is a flexible silicone layer. According to one embodiment, the additional element is sewn directly onto the body of the garment. In this embodiment, the carrier element serves as an element through which the sewing thread passes.

According to one embodiment, the additional element is dispersed within the body tissue, for example by immersing the garment body in the carrier medium, such as a gel or liquid carrier medium.

According to one embodiment, the garment comprises a pocket. The pocket is formed on (constrained to, connected to) the body. The pocket has an internal volume. The pocket includes a closure element, movable between a closed position, in which the internal volume is inhibited, and an open position, in which the internal volume is accessible.

The additional element is arranged inside the pocket. The pocket may be waterproof, so that it can directly contain the carrier medium (gel) with the particles dispersed therein. Alternatively, the pocket may include the additional element when it is supported in the carrier element. In one embodiment, the garment includes a grip element. The grip element is connected to the body. The additional element comprises the carrier element. The carrier element is removably connectable to the grip element, for attaching and detaching the additional element from the body.

The body of the garment comprises an internal surface, configured to come into contact with the animal's skin. The body comprises an external surface, opposite the internal surface. Preferably, the additional element is attached to the body at the internal surface. However, it is also possible to envisage solutions in which the additional element is arranged on the external surface.

Note that, in one embodiment, the carrier and the carrier medium are the same element, e.g., a matrix within which the carrier medium (e.g., conductive gel) is dispersed, within which the additive particles are dispersed.

According to one aspect of the present invention, the garment is one of the following garments:

- collar;

- coat;

- saddle;

- paw bracelet;

- bib.

For guidance only, the percentage of additive particles ranges from 0.3% to 30% by weight. Preferably, the additive particles are made from one or more of the following materials: gold, silver, platinum, rhodium, ruthenium, and copper.

According to one aspect of this description, the present invention provides a method for producing a garment for animals. The method comprises a preparation step for a garment body made of fabric.

The method comprises a step of attaching to the body a attachment element, movable between a attached position, in which the garment is attached to the animal, and an unattached position, in which the garment can be released from the animal.

The method comprises a step of connecting to the body an additional element, including a carrier medium and one or more additive particles, dispersed within the carrier medium and configured to interact with (shield and/or reflect) electromagnetic waves emitted by the animal. In one embodiment of the method, the dispersed particles and the related carrier medium are irradiated with light photons (artificial and natural). In one embodiment, the dispersed particles and the related carrier medium are irradiated with at least one of seven therapeutic frequencies corresponding to the base frequency of 2.5Hz and the first six multiples thereof according to the factor 2.

In one embodiment, the carrier medium (conductive gel) is mixed in a percentage, preferably equal to 10%, with the carrier element, made of silicone or polyurethane or with the thermoplastic material or rubber, so as to form a single matrix that performs the function of the carrier element and the carrier medium.

For the sole purpose of providing an example, with reference to the composition of the additional element, the examples below are provided.

Example 1: designed and intended to promote psycho-physical well-being: - 1g gold powder per 100g of conductive gel

- 5g silver powder per 100g of conductive gel

- 2cc liquid substance (trace element) per 100g of conductive.

The conductive gel 4 thus composed is irradiated with artificial light photons with frequencies, with the spiral symbol and the Hebrew letter H?; it is then mixed in a percentage of 3% by weight with silicone, polyurethane, thermoplastic material or rubber to form the matrix 2.

Example 2: to promote balance and to provide psycho-physical and energizing well-being (e.g. to maintain the results obtained with physiotherapy treatments):

- 2g gold powder per 100g of conductive gel

- 5g silver powder per 100g of conductive gel

- liquid substance (trace element) 6cc per 100g of conductive gel.

The conductive gel 4 thus composed is irradiated with light photons, both artificial and natural, and is then mixed in a percentage equal to 5% by weight with silicone, polyurethane, thermoplastic material, or rubber to form matrix 2.

This and other features will be further highlighted by the following description of a preferred embodiment, illustrated purely by way of example and not by way of limitation in the attached drawing tables, in which:

- Figure 1 illustrates a garment for animals according to the present invention; - Figures 2A and 2B illustrate a first and a second embodiment of the garment of Figure 1;

With reference to the attached figures, reference 1 indicates a garment for animals. Please note that the garment can be for domestic animals, such as dogs, cats, or others, but also for livestock, such as farm animals, cows, goats, sheep, and horses.

Garment 1 can be a collar 1? or a harness 1?? or a horse saddle 1???.

Garment 1 comprises a body 10. Body 10 is for example a woven material (cotton and/or synthetic).

The body has an internal surface 101, which comes into contact with the animal. The body 10 has an external surface 102, which is opposite to the internal surface 101.

The garment 1 comprises a fastening element 11 configured to allow the garment to be attached to the animal. Specifically, the fastening element 11 may be a buckle, a yielding fastening mechanism, a loop with a corresponding hook, or other systems known to those skilled in the art.

The hooking element 11, movable between a hooked position PA, in which the garment 1 is attached to the animal, and an unhooked position, in which the garment 1 can be released from the animal.

Garment 1 includes an additional element 12. The additional element is configured to interact with (shield and/or reflect) electromagnetic waves emitted by the animal. Specifically, the additional element 12 is configured to interact with (shield and/or reflect) infrared waves.

In this regard, the additional element 12 comprises a carrier medium 121, which is preferably a gel. Furthermore, the additional element 12 comprises additive particles 122, which are dispersed within the gel 121.

In one embodiment, the additional element 12 comprises a matrix 123, which is preferably made of one of the following materials: - silicone;

- eraser;

- plastic material;

- thermoplastic material.

The gel 121 with the additive particles 122 dispersed therein are mixed with the matrix 123 to form a strip of additive element STR or a sheet of additive element FGL.

In this regard, the additional element 12 comprises a support surface 124, which is in contact with the garment body 10. The additional element has an emission surface 125, opposite the support surface 124.

It is important to note that there are several embodiments for attaching the additional element 12 to the body.

First of all, a possible variant of the garment 1 provides that the additional element 12 is connected to the external surface 102 of the body 10. Instead, according to a further variant, the additional element 12 is connected to the external surface 102 of the body 10.

It is also possible that the garment 1 includes a plurality of additional elements 12, connected in different positions on the body 10 of the garment 1, to ultimately make the beneficial effects of the additional element 12 more efficient.

In one embodiment, the additional element 12 extends along the entire circumference of the collar 1?. In other embodiments, the additional element 12 extends for at least a quarter of the circumference of the collar 1?.

In the following we also describe various ways of connecting the additional element 12 to the body 10.

According to a first embodiment, particularly simple to implement, the additional element 12 is sewn to the body 10. For this CT seam, the use of a flexible string, preferably made of elastic material, is recommended.

The sewing of the additional element 12 to the body 10 takes place at a distance of at least 0.2 cm from the edge of the additional element 12, to prevent the additional element 12 from tearing easily.

According to a second embodiment, the garment 1 comprises a pocket 13. The pocket 13 comprises a bottom 131 and an internal volume VI. The pocket 13 comprises a closing element 132. The additional element 12 is arranged inside the pocket 13, preferably resting on the bottom 131 (even more preferably glued to the bottom 131). The additional element 12 is inserted into the internal volume VI of the pocket 13. The closing element 132 is movable between a closed position, in which it inhibits access to the internal volume VI of the pocket 13, and an open position, in which it allows access to the internal volume VI of the pocket 13, to insert the additional element 12 therein.

The closing element 132 can be selected from one or more of the following mechanical solutions:

- a zip closure;

- a closure comprising two magnetic flaps (with magnets inside them) that can be superimposed on each other in the closed position;

- a Velcro closure, in which one flap includes a first connecting portion and the other flap, which overlaps the first, has a second connecting portion.

As a final embodiment described by way of example, the garment 1 comprises a grip element 14. The grip element 14 is connected to the body 10 (for example sewn to the body 10). The grip element 14 comprises a Velcro fabric 141 facing externally of the body 10.

The additional element 12 comprises a corresponding Velcro fabric 126, connected on its support surface 124.

The Velcro fabric 126 of the additional element 12 is removably connectable to the Velcro fabric 141 of the gripping element 14, to attach and detach the additional element 12 from the body 10. This allows for quick replacement of the additional element 12 both with new models and with identical but not worn models.

Claims (10)

1. Garment (1, 1?, 1??, 1???) for animals comprising: - a body (10), made of fabric; - a hooking element (11), movable between a hooked position (PA), in which the garment (1) is attached to the animal, and an unhooked position, in which the garment can be released from the animal, characterised by comprising an additional element (12), attached to the body (10) of the garment (1) and including a carrier medium (121) and one or more additive particles (122), dispersed within the carrier medium (121) and configured to interact with electromagnetic waves emitted by the animal. 2. Garment (1, 1?, 1??, 1???) according to claim 1, wherein said one or more additive particles (122) are selected from one or more of the following materials: - noble metals; - trace elements; - bioceramics. 3. Garment (1, 1?, 1??, 1???) according to claim 2, wherein the carrier means (121) is selected from one or more of the following means: - conductive gel; - polyamides; - polyesters. 4. Garment (1, 1?, 1??, 1???) according to any of the preceding claims, comprising a carrier matrix (123), within which is dispersed the carrier medium (121) with said one or more additive particles (122) inside. 5. Garment (1, 1?, 1??, 1???) according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the additional element (12) is sewn directly onto the body (10) of the garment (1). 6. Garment (1, 1?, 1??, 1???) according to any of claims 1 to 4, comprising a pocket (13), made on the body (10), having an internal volume (VI) and including a closing element (132), movable between a closed position, in which the internal volume (VI) is inhibited, and an open position, in which the internal volume (VI) is accessible, and in which the additional element (12) is arranged inside the pocket (13). 7. Garment (1, 1?, 1??, 1???) according to any of claims 1 to 4, comprising a gripping element (14), connected to the body (10), and wherein the additional element (12) comprises a carrier element (126), removably connectable to the gripping element (14), for attaching and detaching the additional element (12) from the body (10). 8. Garment (1, 1?, 1??, 1???) according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the garment body (10) comprises an internal surface (101), configured to contact the animal's skin, and an external surface (102), opposite the internal surface (101), and wherein the additional element (12) is bonded to the body (10) at the internal surface (101). 9. Garment (1, 1?, 1??, 1???) according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the garment (1) is one of the following garments: - collar (1?); - coat; - saddle (1???); - paw bracelet; - bib (1??); 10. Method for the production of a garment (1) for animals, comprising the following steps: - provision of a body (10) of the garment, made of fabric; - attachment to the body (10) of a fastening element (11), movable between a fastened position (PA), in which the garment (1) is attached to the animal, and an unfastened position, in which the garment (1) can be released from the animal; - connection to the body (10) of an additional element (12), including a carrier medium (121) and one or more additive particles (122), dispersed inside the carrier medium (121) and configured to interact with electromagnetic waves emitted by the animal.
