Abstract

A pneumatic vehicle tyre has reinforcing belt members formed from textile fabrics, the warp filaments or cords of which, in an overlap region of the fabric, are formed from a different material and have a lower modular structure than the material of other regions of the textile fabric. Disclosed are combinations of rayon and polyester or polyamide; polyaramide and rayon, polyester or polyamide; polyester and polyamide. This arrangement provides a compensatory elongation in the overlap region for the elongation of the fabric when the warp filaments are loaded by the internal pressure of the pneumatic tyre. Constrictions in the overlap region are considerably limited or avoided. <IMAGE>
