Abstract

The invention relates to a device for generating compressed-air pulses for compacting moulding sand in a flask. The device comprises an annular chamber supplied with compressed air, which is connected via a series of valves and inlet nozzles, which can be swivelled in a plurality of directions, to the moulding space, which is defined by the metering frame and a squeezing head above the sand situated in the flask. The device can be attached both to conventional foundary moulding machines and directly to flasks at the level of the metering frame.
