Abstract

An avalanche breaking-up element with a net has a stiff supporting structure (3, 4) for the net (11) which consists of a star-shaped arrangement of beams (4) that converge to a point (5) at the end of a stay (3) and are secured thereto. This stay has at its opposite end fastening members for anchoring the structure in the ground (1). The outer ends (6, 6a) of the beams (4) are linked to each other by a wire cable (8) and are linked to the stay and/or the ground anchor (1) by wire cables (7). The net (11) is secured to the wire cables (8) and beams (4).
