Abstract
Apparatus for selecting, according to a predetermined characteristic, randomly accumulated tokens, able to sort tokens corresponding to the differentiating characteristic in a corresponding reception location, comprising: a support structure 2, 30, associated with a container for collecting the tokens 12 and a plurality of reception locations 14, 26, a sensor 24 designed to detect the predetermined characteristic of each token G and to emit a signal identifying said characteristic, a conveyor 10 able to feed each token G, picked up consecutively from the collection container 12, to the sensor for detection of the characteristic and then to the corresponding adjacent reception location 12, means of transfer 38, 50, 52 associated with the conveyor 10 and with the support structure 2, 30, able to divert each token from the conveyor 10 to the corresponding reception location, and a command and control unit, co-operating with the sensor 24 and designed to command the activation of the transfer means when the token G corresponding to the identification signal is situated next to the reception location assigned to it and a sensor for the angular position 74 of the transport wheel 10 cooperating with the command and control unit to synchronize the activation of the transfer means with the angular position of the wheel 10. <IMAGE>
