Abstract

The hyperbaric chamber is fitted with a device for passing equipment 11 formed from a container 12 in the shape of a parallelepiped which is fixed to the edge 13 of an opening 9 in one wall of the chamber. The container 12 is fitted with a pair of trapdoors 17, 18 opening towards the chamber, to place the container 12 in communication respectively with the external environment and the hyperbaric chamber and means 29, 30 for varying the pressure in the container 12 between atmospheric pressure and that in the hyperbaric chamber. One side wall of the container 12 forms a horizontal wall 14 for supporting the equipment. The trapdoors 17, 18 are each hinged on one edge and are operated by two pneumatic actuators 22, 23.
