Abstract
A process for the production of spinnable glass material having improved resistance to alkalis through the mixing and heat treatment of mixtures of a) basic wastes, in particular ashes from the thermal destruction of wastes, ashes from the combustion of coal or mineral oils, slurries from the machining of granite, ceramic slurries, b) wastes bearing heavy metals, in particular foundry flue gas purification sludges, sludges from galvanic and/or chemical operations, ashes from tanning sludges, c) corrective wastes, in particular diatomic sludges, ultrafine siliceous slags, waste siliceous filter material, is described.
