Abstract

A high pressure mixing head for mixing at least two reactive polyurethane components; the mixing head comprises a body and a small mixing chamber having an opening which opens on one side of a long discharge pipe located substantially perpendicular to the said mixing chamber, and injection nozzles to feed the polyurethane components into the said mixing chamber at a point close to the opening of the mixing chamber into the said discharge pipe. Cleaning pins are moved alternately in the mixing chamber and the discharge pipe by means of corresponding control rollers; the control rollers are connected to a source of pressurised fluid through electrically-operated valves and connected to a programmable control unit to operate the cleaning pins in sequence. <IMAGE>
