Abstract

A process of wet-paste compaction is proposed for fusing scrap metal powders originating from industrial processes. Given the known fact that all very fine metal powders do not melt but burn completely if introduced directly into the melting furnace, this method proposes that the said powders be compacted with inert binders, rendering them suitable for fusion and hence for total recovery.
