Abstract

The system for bandaging a patient comprises a flexible bandage having a backing with an adhesive on one surface for applying to a patient. First and second handles stiffer than the bandage are reversibly attachable to opposite edge areas of the bandage, for maintaining the bandage in a flat configuration and for controlling wrinkling during handling and application of the bandage to the patient. The bandage may resume its flexible nature after application to the patient and removal of the handles, so as not to interfere with the flexible functioning of the bandage on the patient's anatomy.
