Abstract

3-Oxocyclohex-1-en-1-ylureas of the formula (I) <IMAGE> in which R1, R2 and R3 denote alkyl groups having 1 to 3 carbon atoms or alkenyl groups having 2 to 3 carbon atoms, where the total number of the carbon atoms of R1, R2 and R3 does not exceed five and two of the radicals R1, R2 and R3 can be bonded to one another to form a cycloalkyl or cycloalkenyl group, preferably 1-tert-butyl-3-(3-oxocyclohex-1-en-1-yl)urea, exhibit antihypertensive activity in mammals. The said compounds are obtained by reaction of a compound of the formula II <IMAGE> with 1,3-cyclohexanedione. [GB1457245A]
