Abstract
1410349 Lysergic acid derivatives SANDOZ Ltd 8 Dec 1972 [10 Dec 1971 (2)] 56660/72 Heading C2C Novel compounds (I) (including salts thereof) wherein R 1 is hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R 2 is hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and R 3 is 3-pyridyl, or 3-pyridyl substituted by alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, alkoxy of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, hydroxy, halogen of atomic number 9 to 53, amino, or monoalkylamino or dialkylamino, each alkyl substituent having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, are made by reacting corresponding acid derivatives with NHR 2 R 3 or by alkylation to provide (I) where R 1 is alkyl. Pharmaceutical preparations showing salidiurectic and antiserotonin actions contain (I), where R 1 is alkyl, as active ingredient.
