Description
The present invention relates to bags for storing items such as identification cards, check books, train tickets or airline tickets.
Generally, bags for containing such items have the disadvantage that: they do not have sophisticated security systems for reducing, and in fact eliminating, the risk of theft of the articles. In particular, in most bags of this type, access to the various items is obtained by simple manipulation, such as opening the zipper, or unlocking the button. Thus, an experienced thief can easily steal the contents of the bag without the person carrying the bag noticing it.
The object of the present invention is to overcome the above drawbacks and to achieve this object, the present invention provides a bag for storing articles such as identification cards, cheque books, train tickets or airline tickets, characterized in that it comprises a first and a second sheet connected to each other with a pocket or cavity, and in that it further comprises at least one strap forming a shoulder strap, said strap being able to slide through at least one guide belonging to the first sheet on the one hand, and being connected to the second sheet on the other hand.
Thus, when the bag is carried correctly by the user, i.e. for example the shoulder strap is passed around the neck or shoulder of the user, when separating the two pieces, a portion of the strap inevitably has to slide through the guide of the first piece, causing the shoulder strap to be shortened so that the bag rises along the body of the user. The wearer can thus immediately find that anyone with carelessness tries to open the bag.
Moreover, such a bag is particularly advantageous because it can carry the necessary travel items, such as identification cards, passports, cheque books or tickets, in a very compact manner.
It is noted that the bag according to the invention may comprise a spacer between the first and second sheets, the different components being joined together to form a booklet style. In this case, it is desirable for the different spacers to have perforations in order to allow the passage of the tape.
According to a first preferred embodiment of the invention, the bag is made from a single sheet of flexible material which is divided into two pieces which are foldable along fold lines. If the bag does not have lateral panels joining the two panels together, the position of the fold line along the material may vary depending on the size of the article stored in each panel. Such a bag thus has the advantage of being adjustable in storage capacity, which can be adapted to the shape and size of the articles to be carried.
Preferably, the sheet is substantially rectangular. In this case, the general shape of each sheet, obtained after folding along a folding line, is also rectangular, the position of which along the sheet depends on the article to be stored.
According to a second preferred embodiment, the two sheets are joined together by a flexible strip forming a fold region between the two sheets. If the pouch does not engage the lateral panels of the two panels, the location of the fold line along the flexible band can vary depending on the size of the items stored in each panel.
According to a first preferred embodiment, each strap has two free ends, each free end being able to slide through the associated guide belonging to the first sheet.
According to a first preferred alternative embodiment, the two free ends of the strap are fixed to the second sheet.
According to a second preferred embodiment, each free end of the strap is slidable through a cut-out or eyelet in the second sheet. Thus, advantageously, each free end has at least one appendage projecting from the bag to which an item can be attached. For example, the article may comprise a cell phone, and an important advantage of this arrangement is that the cell phone need not be removed from the accessory when the cell phone is used by the wearer of the bag. What he wants to do is to slide the free end of the phone attached to it through the corresponding cut or hole and pull the phone to the side of the face. As a result, the bag is pressed against and rises along the body of the wearer. This decisively eliminates the risk of the bag being opened by a thief, even in the case of a dispersed attention of the carrier. Moreover, because the mobile phone is always connected to the strap, the risk of theft of the mobile phone is reduced.
According to a second preferred embodiment of the invention, each strap may form a closed loop passing, on the one hand, through at least one guide belonging to the first sheet and, on the other hand, through at least two eyelets provided on the second sheet.
Preferably, each guide belonging to the first sheet is made in the form of a hole or a loop.
It is also advantageous that each of the two corners of the first sheet may have a guide means and that a strap may be attached adjacent to both corners of the second sheet.
Preferably, one of the two sheets may have at least one adhesive strip which is capable of cooperating with at least one adhesive strip secured to the other sheet.
Also preferably, the strap may have at least one locking means for preventing the strap from sliding.
The invention will be more clearly understood by reference to the following detailed description, made with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a bag according to a first embodiment of the present invention in an open condition;
FIG. 2 is a partial perspective view of the bag shown in FIG. 1 in a closed condition;
FIG. 3 is a view similar to FIG. 2 with the addition of a closure system;
FIG. 4 is a partial perspective view of another bag according to the first embodiment of the present invention in a closed condition;
FIG. 5 is a perspective view of a bag according to a second embodiment of the present invention in a closed condition;
figure 6 is a perspective view of another bag according to the present invention in an open condition.
As shown in fig. 1 and 2, the bag 1 according to the present invention is made of a single rectangular sheet (panneau) 2. The sheet 2 is flexible and is preferably made of leather or plastic.
The sheet 2 has an outer surface 3 and an inner surface 4, the outer surface 3 being free of storage means, the inner surface 4 being provided with a resilient strip 5, and the strip 5 being joined thereto by welding along the edges of the sheet 2 to define a cavity in which an item 6 may be stored.
Moreover, the sheet 2 can be folded on itself along a folding line 7, the position of which can vary along the sheet 2, depending on the shape and size of the inserted article 6. Once folded, the sheet 2 is divided into a first sheet 8 and a second sheet 9, both rectangular.
The inner surface 4 of the first panel 8 has two end corners, near which two loops 10 are arranged, each loop constituting a guide for a strap 11, the strap 11 forming a shoulder strap and having two free ends 12.
The second sheet 9 likewise has two end corners, near each of which an eyelet 13 is provided for the passage of two free ends 12 of the strap 11. Each free end is then tied to itself to form a bulge 14 that rests against the corresponding eyelet 13.
The person who wants to deposit the article 6 in the bag 1 operates as follows. First, for example, a shoulder strap is put around the neck of the person. When the bag 1 is initially closed, separating the two sheets 8, 9 causes the tape 11 to slide within the loop 10, since the bulge 14 cannot pass through the eyelet 13. This in turn shortens the shoulder straps, causing the bag 1 to rise up along the person's body as it is opened. Thus, the wearer of the bag 1 can easily detect an illegal act of attempting to open the bag.
It is worth noting that the two free ends 12 of the strap 11 can also be fixed to the second sheet 9, for example by welding or gluing, without thereby affecting the general handling of the bag 1.
As an alternative, as shown in figure 3, the bag 1 has an additional closing system arranged in such a way that the adhesive strip 15 fixed to the first sheet 8 can cooperate with at least one adhesive strip 16 arranged on the outer surface 3 of the second sheet 9. The advantage of this system is that there is always an area where the adhesive strips 15 and 16 overlap each other, no matter where the fold line 7 is located along the web 2.
As shown in fig. 4, another bag 21 according to the present invention differs from the bag 1 mainly in that: first, both eyelets 13 are replaced by a cut 22 to facilitate the sliding of the band 11; secondly, each free end 12 of the strap 11 has an attachment 24 such as a clasp, eye or cord. In particular, therefore, a mobile phone or even a key can be connected to these accessories 24. When the handset is placed on the accessory, a significant advantage is that the wearer of the bag 21 does not need to remove the handset from the accessory 24 when using the handset. What he wants to do is to pull the phone to the side of the face by sliding the free end 12 of the attached phone through the corresponding cutout 22. As a result, the bag 21 is pressed against and rises along the body of the wearer. This decisively eliminates the risk of the bag being opened by a thief, even in the event that the wearer's attention is lost.
As shown in fig. 5, the bag 31 according to the second preferred embodiment of the present invention differs from the bag 1 mainly in that it has a band 32 forming a closed loop. Thus, a portion 33 of the strap 32 needs to pass between the two eyelets 13 of the second sheet 9 in order to cause the second sheet 9 to be more firmly pressed against the first sheet 8 when the bag 31 is closed.
Advantageously, the bag 31 has locking means 34 for preventing said strap 32 from slipping. The locking device 34 can be temporarily deactivated by pressing a ram 35 which can free an opening 37 for the passage of the tape 32.
It is noted that such a locking device 34 may be provided on any bag according to the present invention.
Finally, a bag 41 according to a last embodiment of the invention is shown in fig. 6. The bag 41 differs from the bag 1 mainly in that: firstly, it replaces the loops 10 and the eyelets 13 with two central eyelets 42, 43 provided on the first and second sheets 8, 9, respectively; next, the strap 44 has a first end 45 with an attachment 46 as previously described, and the strap 44 also has a second end 47, the second end 47 being secured to the first panel 8, such as by welding or adhesive. It is clear that this bag 41 is slightly inferior to the bags 1, 21, 31 from a safety point of view, since the tape 44 does not allow the second sheet 9 to be pressed tightly against the first sheet 8.
It is noted that for increased security, the bag according to the invention may be provided with several separate straps which cooperate with corresponding cuts or perforations provided in different panels of the bag.
Although the invention has been described with reference to specific embodiments, it is clear that it is in no way limited to the way described above, and that it comprises all the technical equivalents of the means described above and any relative combinations that fall within the scope of protection of the invention.
