Description

Hairdressing method and corresponding device
Technical Field
[01] The present invention relates to a hairdressing method, and more particularly, to a hairdressing method capable of implementing various color decoration effects, and a corresponding implementing apparatus thereof.
Background
[02] It is known to beautify hair, more precisely to colour hair with coloured materials, either full-or highlighting.
[03] However, said technique makes it difficult to achieve certain colourings, especially temporary and sufficiently adherent hair accessories which are purposely dressed for a short-time event, such as an evening.
[04] The topical hair dressing effect of applying patches of different shapes (star, heart, etc.) to the hair is well known, but such decorative hair dressing effects are generally considered to be unsatisfactory and have poor adhesion.
[05] Some cosmetic effects, such as a large imitation of gold, silver or other colors on the hair, such as copper, are not achievable with the described techniques.
[06] Of course, the use of face powder can obtain gorgeous effect, but besides the poor adhesion property of the face powder, the defect is that the face powder can not be fully adhered to hair, thereby dropping and staining clothes.
[07] In particular, in the field of packaging printing, labels are traditionally applied to paper, cardboard and plastic carrier tapes by means of a so-called pad printing technique, commonly known as "hot stamping".
[08] For this purpose, a decorative band is drawn off from the belt conveyor, said decorative band consisting of a carrier strip, usually in the form of a plastic film, which is coated over its entire surface with a decorative element, for example a thin deposit of gold particles, which is in turn coated with a thermally activatable adhesive layer. The ribbon thus constituted by the two parts is supplied by a heated template (matrix) having a base plate on which the patterns or characters intended to be printed on the paper, cardboard or plastic material are engraved. The ribbon is then pulled over the surface to be decorated to "print" the text or decorative pattern, so that the sole supply of heat is necessary to activate the adhesive material on the surface to be printed or decorated.
[09] Thus, the non-heat activated portion of the adhesive surface remains on the decorative tape and the design or text is printed on the surface to be decorated. The ribbon continues to circulate until only the portion that cannot be applied to the surface to be decorated remains, which is then removed.
[10] The device is most often operated intermittently, while a new band is continuously pulled out of the plate (cliche) by jerking. The device can also be considered to work in a semi-continuous manner, for example when decorating a cylindrical object, since in that case the surface to be decorated is subjected to a rotary motion.
[11] Theoretically, it is also possible to work with large surfaces in a continuous manner, but due to technical limitations, the method is rarely used, since this means that the printing plate must also be driven in rotation.
[12] There is also generally an application device which applies an adhesive tape which serves as a carrier tape for a decorative film. Such devices are described in document WO 01/51394 a1, which can apply an adhesive tape to a sheet of paper. The pasting is carried out in a cold manner. Other devices of the same kind are described in document US-A-5430904.
[13] To the best of the applicant's knowledge, the technique of applying a sticker for hair dressing has not been used so far.
[14] The term "embellishment" includes in particular large-area effects like gold, silver, copper, iridescence, colour, etc., and may or may not include any shape (such as chevrons or others) of printed effect using a technique of affixing prints.
Disclosure of Invention
[15] The aim of the invention is to achieve a special hair-dressing effect by means of a simple and economical method, which can be operated directly by the user without the need to resort to a professional hairdresser. The hair styling effect is viscous enough to last for example the entire evening and is relatively easy to wash or brush off.
[16] This object is achieved by a method for hairdressing, consisting in applying to the hair one or more strips comprising a carrier strip in the form of a plastic film, the surface of which is coated with a decorative element in a coloured coating different from the hair color, the decorative element itself being coated with an adhesive layer which can be activated by a suitable method, for example a technique combining heat, wet methods, such as steam surface treatment.
[17] Among the suitable methods for activating the adhesive layer, mention may be made in particular of thermal activation, wet activation or any other technique which allows the user to detach the decorative element from its carrier strip, to apply it to the hair and to attach it sufficiently firmly to the hair. Activation may also be performed using a hair gel or similar material that is pre-applied to the hair.
[18] In principle, the thermal activation of the adhesive layer is usually carried out by taking into account the three basic factors of temperature, duration and pressure. The optimal conditions for implementation can be easily determined by a professional hairdresser by varying said three parameters according to a few preliminary simple tests, i.e. taking into account the whole hair.
[19] Many decorative effects can be achieved according to the desires of the user. For example, the following possibilities, either alone or in combination with one another:
[20] -using a plurality of decorative bands of the same or different colours in combination, that is, said bands being placed one after the other or separated by a tress of hair not to be styled, said tress being of natural hair or previously styled with a light colour by conventional techniques;
[21] -said adhesive layer activation means "printing" a pattern on the hair, which involves only a partial transfer, i.e. only a portion of the decorative element as described previously;
[22] -the decorative element is patterned to cover only a portion of the carrier strip, or is patterned to provide only a portion of the adhesive layer.
[23] A considerable variety of modification possibilities are also contemplated. The technique proposed by the applicant thus offers numerous possibilities for hair dressing, and is rather simple and straightforward for the user.
[24] Almost unlimited color choices lead to a wide variety of cosmetic hair finishes. Advantageously, the colorant is made of a coloured particulate material, which is usually applied by painting or stamping during the production of the band by means of a suitable binder, which is well known to the producer of bands of the type mentioned and which is present in a considerable variety of compositions.
[25] Likewise, the components of the viscous substance that can be activated in the context of the present invention are quite diverse. In addition, the viscous material may have different fluidity indices, depending on the needs of the manufacturer.
[26] In use, it can be seen that the particles in the layer of colouring material stick, have a surprising local or total colouring effect, and can retain the natural colouring (apart from the colouring), as desired, in particular without a veneering effect, i.e. the hairs do not stick to one another.
[27] The corresponding device using the ribbon can be a tape deck on which the ribbon is wound and which is provided with an adhesive device for activating the adhesive layer. The device may be, for example, a heated rotating cylinder, or a heated clamp or a humidifier, according to the activation technique described above.
[28]The device also comprises a kit comprising a splint type clamp and a hair clipThe hair clipWhich can fix the ribbon 2, and the ribbon itself.
Drawings
[29] The invention will be described in more detail hereinafter, by way of non-limiting examples, with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[30] Fig. 1 to 3 show different implementation stages of the method according to the invention.
[31] Fig. 4 shows an embodiment of an applicator, showing a cross-sectional view of the applicator in accordance with fig. 1.
[32] Fig. 5 shows a set of devices that can be designed to create a hair setting effect.
[33] Fig. 6 to 13 show different stages from the fixing of the hair clip, in particular for retaining a band, until the hairdressing effect is achieved.
Detailed Description
[34] In the technique shown in the figures, a heater consisting of two jaws forming a clip is placed close to the root of the hair. When the heater 1 is in the initial open position, the band 2 is inserted, said band being constituted by a support band (support) covered with a decoration obtained by sublimation, gold plating or the like, and with an adhesive layer which can be applied to the lock of hair. The heater 1 is closed after the ribbon 2 and the hair are sandwiched, and the heater is moved from the position shown in fig. 1 to the position shown in fig. 2. The arrows indicate the necessary pressure and slip coefficient, respectively, in addition to heat. After opening of the applicator 1, the different pressure, slippage and thermal coefficients, under the action of the activated adhesive layer, are sufficient to allow the decorative element to be applied to the lock 3 of hair, while the remaining portion of the band is removed (see figure 3).
[35] Fig. 4 shows another embodiment, which operates in the same manner, except that the band 2 is housed in the heater 4.
[36] Fig. 6 to 13 show a further supplementary embodiment. At this time, the user uses a set of hair dressing kit according to the present invention, which comprises a hair clip 5 including a fixing device of the band 2, the heating clip 1 and the band 2 itself. First, the clip 5 is fixed against the base of the lock of hair to be modified (see figures 6, 7). The hair lock is combed again by the comb 8 of the heating clip 1 (see figure 8) and then the lace 2 for the beautification of the hair lock is attached to the fixing means of the hair clip (see figure 9). The heating clip pushes the band 2 against the lock 3 continuously, applying pressure to it for a corresponding time and temperature, so that the colour of the band sticks to the lock 3 (see figures 10, 11). Preferably, the upper jaw of the heating clip has a grooved profile 6 and the jaw directly engaging the trigger lock has a resilient surface 7. Fig. 12 and 13 show the removal of the decorative band and the re-combing of the lock 3 (see fig. 13).
[37] Of course, many variations are possible and the three embodiments are only illustrative of the invention.
