Description

The present invention relates to a disposable bag for the extraction of liquids, particularly body fluids, in the context of medical treatment, as defined in the general concept of claim 1.
In the medical field, the most diverse systems or methods are known for the extraction of body fluids today. In all those cases where the body fluids are to be sucked out and absorbed by applying pressure, this can be done, for example, by providing a reception tank made of rigid material with a lid, in which on the one hand the suction line leads and on the other hand a connection is provided for the construction of a pressure drop, whereby this connection leads to a suction source (suction pump).In order to solve this problem, it has been proposed to place a disposable bag inside the rigid container, which is only used to catch the liquid to be sucked out. Such a bag filled with liquid can be removed for disposal after removing the lid and fed to the container itself, while the rigid container can usually be equipped with a new bag. The problem with this system is that two different vacuum lines are required, one to expand the bag and the other to attach the container-inlet to the container.The second connector is the one that leads to the inside of the bag, so that after the expansion, the necessary pressure is created inside the bag. It must always be taken into account that the pressure in the space surrounding the bag must be higher than that inside the bag, otherwise the bag may collapse and filling is impossible.
WO 94/14045 reveals a container with a disposable bag for the reception of body fluids for aspiration. The bag has a head plate of a rigid material. This head plate forms the lid of the container and has corresponding openings for connecting to the suction pump and the drainage hose.
The present invention was thus intended to create a disposable bag with which, in the simplest of designs, the capture of liquids is easily possible.
This task is solved by a disposable bag according to claim 1.
The design of the invention makes it possible, with a single pressure tube, to first expand and hold the flexible container inside the airtight receptacle and only after expansion to transfer the suction into the bag. In the case of the expansion bag, which is always kept in this required state by the pressure applied, the gas permeable membrane ensures that no liquid can escape through it (sperm membrane), but air can be sucked in to generate the required pressure. This simple measure, which can be achieved by the rigid head on the bag, provides an easily adjustable unit.
Specific embodiments are defined in the dependent claims.
It should be reiterated that, when using disposable bags, care must be taken that the walls of the bags do not simply collapse when the suction action is taken, but that the bag must first be extended towards the wall of the rigid receptacle or against the walls of the container. This has so far been possible only by the installation of two different vacuum lines, one for the expansion of the bag and the other for the generation of the vacuum inside the bag. The disadvantage of this system was, on the one hand, the complexity of the design and, moreover, the fact that the effect could not always be ensured without further complicating the installation.
The invention is then explained in some detail by means of an example of an embodiment shown in the figure. Figure 1 of the drawing shows a device with a disposable bag according to the invention. A lid 2 is placed on a rigid container 1 in such a way that an airtight seal is created. This is achieved by appropriate seals between container 1 and lid 2. In the lid 2 itself, a connecting opening 3 is provided for the connection of a connection line to a suction source (suction pump, not shown), into which the connection line can also be airtight or otherwise connected. The container lid 2 also has a connecting opening 4 for attachment to a suction line leading to the patient (not shown).
As shown in the figure, a rigid head 5 of a flexible disposable bag B is attached from the bottom of the container lid. The rigid head 5 consists of a plate in the shape of a vessel, from which a connecting nipple 6 is carried upwards on one side through the opening 4 of the container lid and which is surrounded by spring-loaded resting clips 7. The nipple 6 is used to plug the exhaust pipe leading to the patient. Between the head 5 of the bag B and the lid 2 a seal is provided to make the connection airtight. The resting clips 7 can be passed through the opening 4 of the lid and then in the holding position, the exit of the vessel.
In the head plate 5 of the bag, an additional opening 8 is provided in which a membrane 9 is fixed, which is impermeable to liquids but permeable to gas or air with a small resistance.
In the head plate 5 of the B bag, there is an additional passage opening 10 normally closed by a breakable element 11 which could be used as an outlet in the case of a B bag being emptied to facilitate the outflow of the collected liquid through the nipple 6 if necessary, but normally an outflow by pressure on the bag wall would be sufficient.
For general illustration, Figure 3 shows a perspective view of the rigid head section 5 of a disposable bag B.
When the vacuum source is started with a bag mounted on the bottom of the lid 2 (with the head plate 5 of the bag B fixed or fixed to the lid, connected to the line leading to the vacuum source and the patient line connected), i.e. an aspiration is applied through the connection, the air is first evacuated at the upper end of the container, in compartments A, and the bag B is then expanded with its side walls towards or attached to the container walls 1, then the air is also sucked through the membrane 9 into the inside of the bag, creating a pressure which ensures that the exiting fluid passes through the patient's underwear to the patient's underwear.
The simple design, in particular the rigid head section 5 of the disposable bag, creates a device which allows the extraction of liquids into a disposable bag with minimal design effort, and which is also suitable for normal use, i.e. extraction of liquids directly into the rigid containers.

Claims (4)

  1. Disposable bag for receiving fluid that is to be suctioned off, said disposable bag being equipped with a head plate (5) made of rigid material and having, on the one hand, an upwardly protruding connector for a suction line, which connector is at the same time designed as a securing device for securing the bag from the underside on a lid (2) of a rigid collecting container (1), and, on the other hand, an opening (8) which is sealed by a fluid-tight but gas-permeable membrane (9) and through which an underpressure can be generated in the inside of the bag, and the disposable bag having a breakable element (11) that seals off a through-opening (10), characterized in that the through-opening (10) is provided in the head part (5) of the disposable bag.
  2. Disposable bag according to Claim 1, characterized in that the through-opening (10) is a passage forming an air vent.
  3. Disposable bag according to Claim 1, characterized in that the connector of the suction line on the head part (5) of the bag is designed as a connector nipple (6) surrounded by holding and coupling members that are arranged concentrically with respect to it and in turn serve for coupling the head part (5) of the bag to the container lid.
  4. Device according to Claim 3, characterized in that the coupling members are designed as upwardly protruding resilient catches (7) that concentrically surround the connector nipple (6), and, between the outside wall of the nipple and the inside of the catches (7), an annular space is provided which is open to the top and serves for insertion of the suction line.
