Abstract

Novelty: a security railing partially covering the opening of one- or two-leaf sliding doors and windows is disclosed. Purpose: to provide the necessary aeration, natural lighting and anti-burglar protection to residences or the like. Constitution: one peripheral frame 1, two or more hinges (3,4) and a locking mechanism (5,6,9). Advantages: the one-piece restricted-dimension construction covering only the section A of the window or door is easily manageable; its dramatic cost reduction makes it be –in comparison to existing systems covering the whole opening B of a door or window- a product with widespread commercial applications. (see: fig.1, page 1 for one-leaf doors and windows and fig. 2, page 2 for two-leaf doors and windows)
