Abstract

The present invention relates to an improved pharmaceutical formulation of solid dosage forms for oral administration comprising a therapeutically effective amount of a selective serotonin receptor agonist or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, derivative or polymorph thereof, in particular Rizatriptan, in combination with microcrystalline cellulose and starch maize in order to obtain a stable pharmaceutical composition. It also relates to a process for the preparation thereof.
