Abstract

The invention relates to a floating wave power-generating system composed of the steel craft 5 bearing at its sides special-construction submarine wings 4 whereon there are rigidly fixed winches 3 bearing winding drums 38 which are connected to wireropes 2 and set into motion by wave-oscillated floats 1 floating on the sea surface and coming back to their initial position by counterweights 8 connected to the foregoing oscillating floats. The motion of the winding drums is transmitted -via a gears box, a flywheel and a mechanism rotating to a constant direction - to submarine ac generating engines 33. The wings 4 are susceptible to smoothly reduce the sea depth and urge the waves to behaviour as coast waves reduced in length and increased in height. The power produced by the oscillation of the floats 1 and the rotation of the drums is conveyed to the craft; after being rectified (dc current) and converted by use of an inverter into 3-phase ac current, the thus produced power is conducted, via a submarine cable, to consumption. The whole system is retained by a fastening float 44 and anchored by means of the mooring means 21 cast in the sea depth. The arrangement of said system, the fastening mode thereof to the respective fastening float and the shape of the oscillating floats 1 allow the wings to be set in vertical relationship to the waves direction.
