Abstract
Μέθοδος σχηματισμού πορώδους πυρίμαχης μάζας επί μιας επιφανείας χαρακτηρίζεται από το ότι εκτοξεύεται ένα οξειδωτικό αέριο εναντίον αυτής της επιφανείας μαζί με μίγμα σκόνης που περιέχει: πυρίμαχα σωματίδια καυσίμου το οποίο αντιδρά εξωθέρμως με το οξειδωτικό αέριο για να σχηματίσει πυρίμαχο οξείδιο και να απελευθερώσει αρκετή θερμότητα ώστε να τακούν τουλάχιστον οι επιφάνειες των πυριμάχων σωματιδίων έτσι ώστε να συνδεθούν μαζί προς σχηματισμόν της πυρίμαχης μάζας και σωματίδια υλικού του οποίου η σύνθεση ή/και το μέγεθος εκλέγεται έτσι ώστε η ενσωμάτωση ενός τέτοιου υλικού να προκαλεί τον σχηματισμό πορώδους εντός της σχηματιζόμενης πυρίμαχης μάζας. Το υλικό που δημιουργεί πορώδες μπορεί να είναι τέτοιο που να καίεται για να αναπτυξει αεριώδη προϊόντα καύσης, μπορεί να αποσυντεθεί σε αεριώδη προϊόντα αποσύνθεσης ή μπορεί να είναι από μόνο του πορώδες ή κοίλο. ω
