987,505. Mineral-mining machines. COAL INDUSTRY (PATENTS) Ltd. Oct. 4, 1963 [Oct. 9, 1962], No. 38215/62. Heading E1F. A mineral-mining machine has cutter means 5 at the free extremity of an arm 6 pivotally mounted for powered movement about horizontal and vertical axes on a crawler tracksupported base 1 through which passes a conveyer 14 to extend into a loading ramp 16 secured to the front of the base 1 and carrying a pair of driven gathering means 19 for feeding mined mineral to a central opening positioned in the upper surface of the ramp. The drive motors for the conveyer 14 may be housed in the ramp 16 and may also drive the gathering means 19.
