Abstract

984,468. Waste outlets for baths and basins. CREATORS Ltd. Nov. 21, 1963 [Nov. 21, 1962], No. 44031/62. Heading A4N. An oulet 1 of synthetic plastic is covered with a layer 12 of metal, preferably consisting of stainless steel sheet or foil. The metal may be spun or stamped to the required bowl-shape and secured to the outlet 1 by spinning edge 15 around flange 2 and edge 14 around plastic grid bars 6 which are moulded integrally with the outlet 1. Alternatively, the outlet may be moulded in contact with the metal 12. A stainless steel foil may be stuck on the outlet with adhesive. Nut 4 compresses a plastic fitting 8 connected with a flexible plastic wire-reinforced outflow pipe 10, between rubber washers 11.
