Abstract

969,322. Stoppers. SHEAREX PLASTICS Ltd. Dec. 1, 1960 [Sept. 1, 1959], No. 29801/59. Heading B8T. An integrally formed flexible one-piece bottle closure cap comprises an annular surface 15 normally engaging the inner surface of the rim 19 and forced away from the rim by internal pressure to permit gas to vent through vent apertures 18. The screw-threaded cap shown has vent orifices 18 in the end thereof; alternatively a vent groove may be formed through or parallel with the screw-thread. The central portion 16 of the cap may be domed.
