Abstract

A package of bakers yeast comprises at least 1 kg. of granulated fresh yeast and a bag constituted of a plastics material, textile material or a treated paper, the bag being so sealed as to permit the escape of carbon dioxide while substantially preventing the entry of oxygen from the air. The bag may be of polyethylene, rubber hydrochloride or regenerated cellulose film and its open end may be sealed by fastening in a loose knot, twisting together or folding over, or by hermetically p sealing and providing vents. The bag may be packed in a paper bag or cardboard box outer. Specification 495,503 is referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 852,946.
