Abstract

943,152. Dispensing circlips. ANDERTON SPRINGS Ltd. June 26, 1962 [June 26, 1961], No. 22999/61. Heading B8S. In a circlip dispenser of the kind in which a stack rod 2 carrying the circlips 3 has a lower end portion 4 whose width is reduced to allow for the withdrawal of only the bottom clip, this end portion fits into a hole 5 in the base 1 of the apparatus and abuts the bottom of the hole. The hole is bounded on one side by a plug 6 with an upstanding boss 8 and on the other by an L-shaped block 7 whose upstanding limb forms a guide for the circlips. The bottom of the hole 5 is defined by the horizontal limb 5a of the block 7 and the top of the hole by the upper surface of the plug 8. The screw-adjusted collar 10 is used to set the depth of the hole so that the clearance between the top thereof and the step 4b, Fig. 2, in the stack rod slightly exceeds the thickness of one circlip. The screw shank 9 may be extended upwardly to provide a holding bracket 12, Fig. 1 (not shown), for the upper end of the stack rod. The base 1 may incorporate a guide for an applicator tool which removes the bottom clip. A plurality of the dispensers may be mounted on a common base 1.
