Abstract
The invention comprises compounds of the general formula <FORM:0936782/IV(a)/1> (wherein R represents a C1-5 alkyl radical, Am represents a C2-8 dialkylamino group in which the alkyl radicals may be directly linked together to form a heterocyclic ring, and n is 1, 2 or 3), and the preparation thereof by condensing a compound of the general formula <FORM:0936782/IV(a)/2> with (a) formaldehyde and a base Am-H (to give compounds in which n is 1) or (b) a reactive ester of a basic alcohol HO-(CH2)m-Am (m = 2 or 3) in the presence of an acid-binding agent (to give compounds in which n is 2 or 3). The products form salts with inorganic and organic acids, and possess antiallergic and spasmolytic activity.
