Abstract
935,619. Anatomical models. WILLIAM DOUGLAS McADAMS Inc. Oct. 13, 1960, No. 35076/60. Class 146 (2). An anatomical model comprises a hollow, preferably transparent, body 20, 21 and a plurality of hollow organs, transparent in part at least, detachably securable to said body and at least one of said organs having an elongated opening in which an information bearing element can be inserted for viewing through the transparent part. The body parts 20, 21 are secured together by spring rivets and the body is secured to a base 24 by a bracket 25. Organs such as a stomach 32 are affixed as by spring rivets 33 or a sleeve and peg connection 39, 40. Organs such as a duodenum 47, Figs. 8, 9, have a tinted front wall 72, a clear rear wall 73 and a slot 74 for insertion of an information card 75 portraying a section 76. Organs such as a gall bladder 77, Fig. 13, may be truncated, the front wall 78 being tinted and the information card 80 being secured to a planar rear wall 79 by buttons 81.
