928,536. Cooling moulds. PARNALL & SONS Ltd. March 27, 1961 [April 5, 1960], No. 11925/60. Class 87(2). [Also in Group XIII] Cooled air from the outlet of a vortex tube 19 (see Group XIII) is distributed by a manifold 39 over the surface of a thermoplastic moulding 40 prior to its removal from the moulding machine. As shown, the manifold is in the form of a heat insulated cowl over the moulding and in a modification, Figs. 4 and 5 (not shown), the manifold comprises a closed tube surrounding the moulding and having perforations in its walls.
