A vibrating conveyer comprises a tray 2 carried by springs 3 from chassis 1 supported on springs 4. The chassis carries motor 6 and shaft 9, the motor driving the shaft; and the shaft drives the tray via eccentric 11 and rod 12. Shaft 9 also carries weights 14 so that the tray is given an elliptical movement in a vertical plane, the longitudinal axis of the tray constituting the major axis of the ellipse.
