Abstract
915,925. Endless suspension conveyers. DURKOPPWERKE A.G. April 18, 1961 [May 18, 1960], No. 13990/61. Class 78 (1). Each suspension member T for a clothes hanger 26 comprises two pivoted arms 18<SP>1</SP>, 18<SP>11</SP> spring-urged to a closed position and provided with rollers 23 for engaging a deflector 34 at a receiving station E. The arms 18<SP>1</SP>, 18<SP>11</SP> are mounted on a carrier 16 to which is secured a double ramp 24 extending downwardly and laterally and provided with hook-like members 25. A sensing device 32 lies in advance of each receiving station E which is also provided with an acceptor 27 and a switch device 37. A control carrier 31 having a selector device W follows the suspension member T. Operation of a key on the device W causes the corresponding sensing device 32 to be actuated, the deflector 34 is electromagnetically moved into the position shown in Fig. 1 and the arm 18<SP>11</SP> is pivoted upwardly by the engagement of the roller 23 on the deflector 34, Fig. 4. The released hanger 26 moves down the ramp 24 and is removed from the hook 25 by the acceptor 27. The deflector is then moved back to its horizontal neutral position by the further movement of the roller 23 and the following suspension members T pass under the deflector. When a predetermined number of hangers have been collected on the acceptor 27, the switch 37 is opened and the electromagnet 33 for tilting the deflector 34 is prevented from operating. The selection of receiving positions may be dispensed with, the rollers 23 of different members being in different planes and operable only by corresponding rails 38 at particular receiving stations.
