Abstract

Mortar for laying tiles, grouting, and pointing comprises equal quantities of white cement and ground quartz, 2 to 5% by weight of a partially hydrolysed polyvinyl alcohol, and, if desired, up to 1% by weight of calcium chloride as hardener, the mixture being made into paste with, e.g. 30-40% by weight of water, based on the weight of the dry mix.
