898,843. Drafting-apparatus. WURTTEMBERGISCHE SPINDELFABRIK G.m.b.H. Feb. 24, 1961 [March 2, 1960], No. 6898/61. Class 120(2) In locking-means for the loading-arm 2 of drafting-apparatus of the kind having a locking- lever 5 extending along a considerable part of the length of the arm, the pivot of arm 2 and the locking-point 7 being arranged closely behind the pivoting-axis 1 of the arm, the lever 5 is in one piece and is mounted at 6 on the arm 2 and carries a locking-member 7 which, in the locking position, engages a stationary abutment 8 projecting into the space between the pivot 6 and locking-member 7. Lever 5 and arm 2 are of U-section, with the walls of the former fitting over those of the latter in the region of the points 6, 7. Member 7 may be a pin carried by the side-walls of the lever and working in apertures or slots 7<SP>1</SP> in the side-walls of the arm, while the abutment 8, which may have a groove to receive the pin 7, may be on a member 3 clamped by a bolt 4 on the arm axis 1, and disposed between the walls of the arm to locate the arm axially. The bolt may have a leafspring 9, which engages with pivot-pin 6 to secure the arm in raised position.
