894,977. Sliding doors. ELLARD SLIDING DOOR GEARS Ltd. Jan. 20, 1961 [Jan. 20, 1960], No. 2090/60. Class 20(3) A frame for a sliding door is constructed with metal uprights 5 of channel section and have timber &c. linings 10 enclosed within the section but exposed on one side to provide surfaces for securing wall coverings which enclose the cavity in which the door slides. The lower ends of each pair of uprights 5 are fixed by footplates 8, which have bent-up lugs 7 through elongated holes in which bolts 9 pass to fix the uprights. A guide block 15 is fixed to one of the footplates 8 at a point preferably close to the door opening 4. Suitable door seals are fastened to the upright 2 and to the first pair of uprights 5 which are perforated for this purpose as shown at 18.
