Abstract

883,050. Friction grip fasteners. BROWN, BEST & CO. Ltd. March 17, 1960 [March 20, 1959], No. 9825/59. Class 44. A toggle device comprises a body member 1 having two spaced bores 5, 6 which extend from one end of the body into a tapered cavity 4 within the body, which cavity has an opening at the other end of the body, through which bores 5, 6, cavity 4, and opening a card may pass, a wedge 8 within the cavity biased into engagement with the card, to prevent movement of the card and toggle in one direction, and release means for moving the wedge 8 against the bias out of engagement with the card. The bias consists of a spring 12 which prevents release of the wedge 8 by a tag 18. The surfaces of the wedge and cavity 4 are serrated to improve the gripping of the card.
