Abstract

887,452. Manure distributers. KUCERA, J. B., and McELHINNEY, E. M. Aug. 31, 1960, No. 29980/60. Class 6(1). A manure distributer comprises a body 21 fitted with an endless conveyer 35 which feeds material to spreader and beater means which comprises chains 43, 44 mounted on shafts 41, 42. The shaft 41 is driven from the tractor power shaft through shafts 82 and 91 and bevel gearing 93. The shaft 42 is driven from shaft 41 by means of a shaft 97 mounted on a member 52 which may be pivoted about the shaft 41 to adjust the position of the shaft 42 a slot 49 being provided for that purpose. A hood 111 is provided. The conveyer 35 is driven from the tractor power shaft through shafts 82 and 101 and gearing 104. In a modification the upper shaft 42 is omitted and deflector members are arranged in a fan-like manner at the end of the conveyer 35.
