Abstract

884,107. Vehicle fuel tank closures. WEST WOOD RIM & PATENTS Ltd. Aug. 17, 1960 [Sept. 9, 1959], No. 30754/59 Class 125(3). A closure for a vehicle fuel container is provided with radially extending arms having a hook-like projection 14 which engages pegs 16 formed on the container neck. A pivoted lever 18 formed with a projection 22 and operable by a lock and key, moves between a position in which it lies adjacent one arm so that a peg 16 is retained between the projections 14 and 22, the lever being locked in this position to secure the closure to the container, and a position in which it is spaced from the associated arm to allow the closure to be removed from the container.
