Abstract
870,540. Moulding chocolates. MIKROVAERK A.S. March 15, 1960 [March 25, 1959], No. 9125/60. Class 87(2). [Also in Group XXX] A mould conveyer for chocolate and similar material comprises mould carriers pivotably connected between two conveying chains 7 by pins 22 and guided by pins 8, 9, engaging stationary rails 11, 12, which are provided with a recess 14 so that the mould can be inverted while being conveyed by means of a member such as a bell crank lever 17, 19 guiding the leading pin 8 into the recess while allowing the pins 22 and 9 to pass over the recess. As shown, the bell crank lever 17, 19, is normally urged into the position shown in dotted lines by means of a spring 18. In a modification, the bell crank lever 17, 19, is replaced by a cam which is provided with a groove arranged to engage the pin 8 and the movement of which is synchronised with that of the conveyer. In a further modification, the bell crank lever 17, 19 is replaced by a curved rail which, after it has guided the leading pin 8 into the recess 14 is moved to an inoperative position to allow the pins 22 and 9 to pass over the recess. The recess need not be open as shown, but may be provided with a curved member interposed between the two rails. The tilting mechanism may be rendered inoperative by placing a feller piece across the recess or by turning the arm 19 of the bell crank lever through 180 degrees and securing it in that position.
