Abstract
863,866. Coupling circuits. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Nov. 6, 1957 [Nov. 9, 1956], No. 34612/57. Class 40(8) A non-reciprocal electric coupling device comprises two planar windings 1, 2 crossing each other and surrounding a common core 3 of high-frequency magnetic material which is pre-polarized in a direction parallel to the intersecting line of the planes of the windings, wherein the planes of the windings are at an angle # between 0 and 90 degrees to each other and wherein the prepolarization has a value such that the transmission coefficient at a given operating frequency is nil in one direction. Lecher lines 1, 2 are each short circuited at one end to form loops around ferrite core 3. The prepolarization is such that at 250 m.c./s the coupling factors between lines 1, 2 is zero, Fig. 2. This is stated to occur if the ferrite core is in at least substantially magnetic anti-resonance at the operating frequency.
