850,852. Air heating stoves. VEREENIGDE TABAKSINDUSTRIEEN MIGNOT & DE BLOCK N.V. June 4, 1958 [June 7, 1957], No. 17811/58. Class 64(1) In an air heater comprising a casing 11 containing a heating unit 1 consisting of a combustion chamber 2 having at one end a liquid or gaseous fuel burner 5 and connected at its other end to a further chamber 3 from which the combustion gases are, discharged, two fans 16, 17 respectively supplying air to be heated and combustion air, together with necessary control gear are housed in a special compartment provided in the casing 11. Combustion air supplied by the fan 17 is preheated in flowing therefrom through a conduit 20 welded to the combustion chamber wall, the heated combustion air entering the combustion chamber 2 through a tangential inlet. Air supplied by the fan 16 is heated in flowing over the heating unit 1 and is thereafter discharged into a room through a grille 21. In the form shown three vertical air ducts 12 extend through the air heating chamber 2 which is separated from the combustion chamber 2 by a wall 8 of heat insulating refractory material. The fans 16, 17, electric driving motor 18, fuel pump, and control gear are all mounted on a slidable plate 13 to facilitate maintenance. U.S.A. Specification 2,625,157 is referred to.
