Abstract

859,801. Boring-machines. GOTAVERKEN A.B. Feb. 17, 1959 [March 12, 1958], No. 5524/59. Class 83 (3). A horizontal boring-machine is provided with a bed 1 on which a work-table 8 is movable at right-angles to the machining direction, and a rotatable tool-carrying bar 4 is carried in a headstock 7 mounted on a slide 2 which also carries an intermediate support 3 for the bar, the free end of the bar being supported by an outboardbearing 9 fixed to the bed. The boring-bar 4 is arranged above the transversely-adjustable work-table 8. Two workpieces 13 are accommodated on the table, and the support 11 with guideways for the table is made of such width that the work is completely supported in each extreme position of the table.
