Abstract

The assembly comprises a handle mechanism (27) which can be coupled with a latch (16) to enable opening and closing of a door or other closure, a key-operated dead bolt (18), a lock mechanism, means (22) connecting an upper and a lower bolt (26) with the handle mechanism (27), and pawl and ratchet means (32, 40) operated by the key and the lock mechanism serving to disable the handle mechanism when the upper and lower bolts have been set. <IMAGE>
