Abstract

839,582. Fishing reels. CUMMINGS, L. Nov. 24, 1958 [Nov. 27, 1957], No. 36932/57. Class 48. A reel (not shown) is attached to a rod by a slotted tube a which is slid on to the rod handle and has an inclined face a<SP>3</SP> against which an end of the reel seat is adapted to bear, the tube also having a slidable collar c for engaging the other end of the reel seat and a screwed ring e which drives the collar c along the reel seat. The inclined face a<SP>3</SP> causes the reel seat to be displaced downwardly into the rod handle. The inclined face may be formed on a collar b secured to the end of the tube.
