Abstract

Thin-walled articles such as cans and containers of sheet metal are coated with thermoplastic material by heating them to at least 300 DEG C., immersing them in a fluidized bed of the powdered plastic, and heating them after removal therefrom by means of a merely heated current of air or gas. The plastic may be polyethylene or a polyamide. The articles may first be sprayed with zinc. Specifications 643,691, 759,214 and 838,739 are referred to.
