Abstract

837,726. Two-part couplings; plug boards. BORANDI, A. Aug. 6, 1958 [Sept. 5, 1957], No. 25163/58. Class 38 (1). Lighting equipment for a Christmas tree comprises a conical (12, Fig. 1) or annular (31, Figs. 7 and 8) member carrying a number of sockets 16 (Fig. 1) secured to the base of the annular member or having ring-shaped bus-bars 40 (Figs. 7 and 8) with which plug pins can make contact by passing through openings 37. The plugs engaging sockets 16 or connecting with bus-bars 40 are each connected to a separate circuit carrying ornamental lamps for the Christmas tree. The conical member 12 or the annular member 36 fit on the tip of the tree and the former carries a lamp 14 inside an ornament 15. Instead of the sockets 16 being secured on the side of the conical member 12 sockets 26 (Fig. 5) may be held inside its base by an endless band 27.
